The season of the Wine Guides

Premi-Guide-2011

So much commitment, such significant investments, so many difficult choices, decisions that oftentimes seem counter-intuitive, and all of these over the course of years: these are now repaid by excellent wine reviews in the annual wine guides, by awards, and by accolades and congratulations on our wines.

The work that we do is extremely complex and subject to so many variables, and we have to plan and work over a time-span that has to be remarkably long.

Our efforts must be intense if we are to harvest the finest possible fruit, which will reflect fine balance in the grapevine and in its environment.

We strive to achieve a perfect base wine, with the precise characteristics required for it to develop its innate expressiveness over the years, so that we will be rewarded with Franciacortas displaying superb character, each with its own distinctive personality.

We rely on our passion, our long expertise, and on our finely-honed instincts.

Working in this fashion, year after year, stubbornly and painstakingly, we have been rewarded, in 2010, by a wealth of satisfying tributes:

Our Franciacorta Pas Dosé “QdE” Riserva 2004 was given:
The Highest Award: “Vino d’Eccellenza” (Wine of Excellence) by L’Espresso’s Guida Vini d’Italia 2011
The Highest Award: “Three Glasses” by Gambero Rosso’s Wines of Italy 2011
The Highest Award: “Five Clusters” by the AIS’ Guida Duemilavini 2011

Our Franciacorta Extra Brut “EBB” 2006 was given”
The Highest Award: “Vino d’Eccellenza” (Wine of Excellence) by L’Espresso’s Guida Vini d’Italia 2011, with the highest score awarded to a sparkling wine.

Our Franciacorta Brut Satèn 2006 was ranked as a:
“Grande Vino” (A Great Wine) by Slow Food’s new Guida Slow Wine 2011

Heartfelt thanks to all of our professional colleagues and to all who share this joy with us.

Enogea nr. 33_4
The wine reviews in Enogea, issue n.33, named our Franciacortas the best wines in their respective style categories
